I must say that I am deeply saddened by the news that I received, however
late, of Randalls death.
Although my only interaction with him was at the club, he made me feel as
if I were a good, and close friend. We spoke at length about the lighting
scheme of the club, and what he would like to do to improve it. Unfortunatley
my schedule at Dell has kept me from frequenting Atomic as much as I would
like to have had.
I learned of Randalls death from a co-worker. I am not sure why I write
this email with tears streaming down my face. I didn't even cry for my
own cousins funeral. I just hope you know how many lives Randall has touched
and made better. And how many lives will be that much emptier now that he
is gone.
I am very proud to have met Randall. Very proud to have called him a friend.

Just a note to say thank you for allowing us to join you in celebrating
Randall's life yesterday. In death, as in life, he brought all of us
together once again...so many of us lost touch with one another since
the closing of the Scottsdale Atomic, and yesterday we were able to
exchange our memories of Randall, as well as phone numbers and e-mail
addresses. As I've said before, it is a tragic loss, but his presence
remains with us and I know we'll all be together again one day.
My thoughts are with you,
Paula Olson

Ken ... I was a friend of Randall's for years and was leveled when I
learned of his death. I always considered him one of the more decent
human beings I have ever met. I have no understanding of what you must
be going through but feel much empathy and sorrow.
I am a staff writer at Phoenix New Times and I wanted to write a
piece about Randall and his contribution to various music communities.
If you feel like talking at all, please call me at 602-407-1713 (direct)
or email at

thank you and regards,
